We would recommend this accommodation for the following reasons: Great location for all of Lake District; Access to swimming pool if needed;

It is in a fabulous location on the shore of Windermere, near to the town in one direction and the Lake District Visitor Centre in the other.
The property is spacious but cosy, with very good facilities – especially the hot tub on the veranda. One tiny criticism – the lights in the living and dining areas hang low enough to be a hazard for anyone over six feet tall.

Excellent quality accommodation, in a great area of the lake district, and in a very good holiday park. Free passes to the swimming pool and gym etc also included in the price.

Ideal location for children of all ages – the pool is warm and clean with great changing rooms. The park is ideally located for children to go alone and the brockhole centre is bike ride away.

The lodge is ideal for families, a great location and beautifully equipped. We had a wonderful holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the lake district; the lodge made the stay even more special. Star gazing from the hot tub was wonderful.

The lodge is to a very high standard with good facilities on site (swimming pool, gym, shop, bar and restaurant and access to Windermere itself). It is also conveniently located close to many family friendly activities, including Brockhole (The Lake District Visitor Centre) less than a mile away.

The lodge is spacious and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen. Little touches like having an en-suite and a TV in the bedroom we really appreciated. There are plenty of books/videos to entertain and the park facilities are excellent. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and the bar area and the free Wi-Fi was really useful for checking out things to do and the weather in the evenings. The hot tub for us was the deal maker on choosing this lodge and we weren’t disappointed, we spent some time in the hot tub most days and sitting in it in the evening staring up at the stars made the holiday very special. The park is extremely well situated for Bowness and Windermere and Brockhole is just a short walk away where we caught a launch boat for the lake cruisers. This is especially useful as it saved parking charges in Bowness to use the boats.

Bob and Denise are lovely, friendly and very helpful from beginning to end. Their lodge is in a fantastic location on White Cross Bay with amenities nearby but also very private when using the amazing hot tub. The lodge itself its immaculate, clean and very cosy my 3 and 5 year old didnt want to leave. We will definately be returning

The property is on a lovely site that has good facilities but isn’t too big. The property itself is very comfortable and immaculately kept. The hot tub is an absolute delight and made the holiday extra special for us. We have been to this property twice now and will definitely be coming back!
We really enjoyed staying in Selamat lodge as it provided everything we needed for a relaxed holiday incl. hot tub, free-view, a great selection of films to choose from and comfy beds. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed and more. The lodge has a great location as a base for a mixture of fell walking and cosy town visits. It is situated on a lovely site with swimming pool, children's playground / swings, lakeside marina, pub and restaurant etc.

It is very clean and homely, it worked well for our family, the hot tub is a good plus point, is in a great location and has good amenities locally. The park is also well kept and the staff there are friendly too.

The Lodge is exactly as described and really is home from home. The accommodation is clean and spacious and has everything you need for a relaxing break. There are many finishing touches – lovely fluffy white towels, clean and crisp bed linen and a well stocked kitchen. I’ts great to find accommodation of such high quality that is also pet friendly. The hot tub was an added bonus and loved by all. I will definitely be recommending Selamat Lodge to friends and family and look forward to staying there again in the near future.

The property was clean and spacious with all the facilities required. The lodge is very central to the Windermere area and is ideal as a base location to explore the Lake District. The site is quite and family orientated.

Lodge is in a good position on the park, not overlooked. Lodge was furnished to a very high standard and was extremely well stocked with equipment to use which was brilliant.

The Lodge was lovely and clean when we arrived the décor and soft furnishings were bright and modern and it’s in a lovely position on the site. It had everything we needed the kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery, utensils, ovenware and cleaning equipment. The full size fridge freezer and dishwasher was a bonus. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was nice and fresh as were the lovely white fluffy towels which were provided for everyone. It was a home away from home. The Hot Tub was pure luxury. It was makes a change to find somewhere so nice that accepts pets a lot of the accommodation I have looked at which accepts pets can be a bit dismal to say the least. To me the accommodation is a large part of our holiday and I would have no hesitation in recommending Selamat Lodge to family and friends.
