Veronica Cottage: I always think you know you're in the right place when your PJs match the bedroom decor and there are glimpses of familiarity and home dotted about you. Bosinver captures the essence of childhood family holidays with contemporary style and a passion for preserving the future. These are holidays with integrity that are good for the soul. The new eco house is amazing - a clever mix of invigorating style with peace and tranquillity. A place to just "be" and savour the intensity of nature's rich pleasures. Be prepared to kick off your boots and let the days unfurl... Rating 5 out of 5, Kate, May 2011
We've just come back from a fabulous week at Bosinver. Everything was simply excellent from the cottage to the scenery to the delightful animal feeding sessions with Farmer Dave. We had such fun, everything that childhood hollidays should be. Our toddler couldn't get enough of the animals, the hens even came into the garden for extra feeding! The play bard is superbly kitted out and the there are play areas galore, including a delightful lake and woodland walk. We had such a wonderful time, I'm booking a space for next year. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Giving everything a 10 simply isn't high enough praise! Thank you to the family for making us so welcome.

Over the last 20 years, we have had many self-catering holidays in Cornwall, but since we discovered Bosinver about 10 years ago, we've never felt the need to look elsewhere. It's clearly a wonderful place for families with small children, but it's no less ideal for couples of all ages. Pick one of the cottages outside the central farmyard complex, and you just don't notice that there's anyone else around. The location, layout and standard of the cottages is outstanding. It's absolutely perfect for getting about the rest of Cornwall (Fowey, Roseland,Truro and St Agnes are very easy and quick to get to). But you needn't go far if you don't want to: the local pub (with excellent food) is a pleasant short walk away and there are other lovely walks in the vicinity. We simply can't find any downside. Well what can I say about Bosinver that has not already been said. It is FABULOUS... we are off to Bosinver in October for our 15TH visit. We have twin boys who we have been coming to Bosinver since they were just 2 years old - now 8 years old. The cottages are just great - home from home with lots of thoughtful touches - from the fresh cream cake on arrival to a fully equipped kitchen, all individually decorated and just beautiful. Really home from home. There is just so much to do at Bosinver with the play park - a visit before bed is an absolute must!( After the rounds of goodnights to Chalky - the goat, Spike - the pigmy goat, Secret and Rupert - the horses)The swimming pool is lovely, a 'zip wire' and tunnel slide down the bottom of the fields and the lakes with the woodland walk and of course the play barn. Pat Dave and Helen work so hard to make your stay so wonderful that nothing is too much trouble - they are like family now! This place really is a little piece of heaven and we cannot wait until half term to be back - as soon as we see the sign we are relaxing !! Rating 5 out of 5, Vicky, Oct 2010.
Fourteen of us have just returned from a fabulous week at Bosinver Farm Cottages, having gone there for a 60th birthday celebration. What a fantastic week. So much for the toddlers to do, comfortable cottages for the oldies (we stayed in The Farm House and Olearia), and the zip wire near the lake persuaded the more adventurous of the party to try the big wire at Adrenalin Quarry – the name speaks for itself! As part of our celebrations I booked Rachel of Each Peach Kitchen for her Private Chef service to provide a meal for the ten adults. Rachel could not have been more helpful, providing suggestions for the menu in the early stages, and taking into account some very specific dietary requirements. The meal on the night was fantastic; delicious, and with lots of extra touches that made the evening even more special. I know that all of us in the party will be highly recommending both Bosinver and Rachel’s private chef service to our friends and colleagues. Rating 5 out of 5 for both Bosinver & Rachel! We stayed at Bosinver in August; it was the best holiday we'd had since having children (aged 4 and 2)! Our cottage, Veronica, was beautifully decorated, well equipped and very clean - plus a lovely garden space for the children. So much to do and see; we loved the playground, indoor barn play area and especially the lake and nature reserve. The pool was the temperature of a warm bath!! The children loved the daily animal feeding, egg collecting and pony walking. Pat and Dave are lovely hosts and gave some great recommendations for restaurants, beaches etc and the ready meals available on site made life very easy! All in all a real gem - we're recommending to friends but only after we'd secured our booking for next summer!!! Rating 5 out of 5, Lisa, Sept 2010
Yet again another wonderful holiday at Bosinver - my elderly parents were worried about coming away as they hardly get out at all at home but this holiday has made them realise there is life outside their 4 walls - thanks for that alone! They were in tears about how wonderful their holiday was. You two think of everything! Just a truly magical, relaxing holiday - we shall definitely be returning. Rating 5 out of 5, Teresa, Sept 2010.
Our holiday at Bosinver exceeded our expectations. We immediately felt at home in the cottage. Everything you need is there and of a high standard. The play barn is fantastic and perfect for an active 19 month old. The highlight of our holiday was the daily feeding of the animals with farmer Dave and Helen and the pony ride- our little boy loved it and is still talking about it. Rating 5 out of 5, Iain, stayed in Pentree Sept 2010.
We have just got back from our first family holiday at Bosinver and we absolutely loved it. There is so much to do with the little ones, our 18 month old boy was in his element. From feeding the animals every day with farmer Dave, to hanging out in the fantastic play barn each day was an adventure. With so many beautiful beaches on our doorstep and a huge array of places to visit within an hours drive we actually ran out of time to do everything we wanted. We have already booked to come back next year and hope to make this a regular family holiday. Why bother with air travel when you can just load up the car with all our stuff and head down to Cornwall. Absolutely brilliant! Rating 4.9 out of 5, Sari, Sept 2010.
Our 3rd visit to Bosinver was as good as the 1st and 2nd. Our two girls, (3 and 21 months) loved the pony rides and collecting the eggs in the morning. We stayed in Higher Hill which was wonderfully spacious and light. Bosinver is a great place to stay and a perfect location for exploring Cornwall. Pat can always suggest some great places to visit. Rating 4.5 out of 5, Anita, July 2010.
Just come back from a week in Bosinvers Valley View cottage. I wish I'd booked 2 weeks I loved it so much. My 18Month daughter enjoyed feeding all the animals almost as much as I did and it was lovely to see how excited she got by the goats and ponies. The cottage was well equipped, very clean and private. The play equipment indoor and outdoor was a godsend for keeping her occupied. Theres a nice little beach 10 minutes away and plenty of local attractions if you don't want to spend long in the car. We were totally relaxed by the time we left -I can't wait to go back. Rating 5 out of 5, Hazel, stayed June 2010.
We had a lovely holiday at Bosinver Farm. Feeding the animals was a big hit. Facilities are absolutely brilliant - playground, play barn, cot (a proper one, not a travel one), highchair, plastic plates and cups with spouts etc and a toy box in each cottage. Packing to go there is almost as easy as pre - children holidays! Heated outdoor pool is lovely - no need to grin and bear the cold for the sake of the kids! Frozen food from Each peach was pretty good esp the fish pie. Rating 4.9 out of 5, Laura, June 2010.
Just arrived home from our first visit to Bosinver. Accommodation is very good and very clean. Facilities and service are very good too........our 4 year old had a wonderful time.......and so did we!.. Rating 4.6 out of 5, Alison, May 2010.
We have stayed at Bosinver twice and will definitely go back again. The cottages are lovely - well-equipped, comfy and cosy without being twee or chintzy. There is so much to do - DS (4) and DD (2) love feeding the animals, collecting eggs, riding the horses, doing the nature trail and letting off steam in the play barn. When you finally get round to leaving the farm there are loads of things to see and do nearby, to suit every taste, budget and weather conditions. We loved the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, idyllic days out at Looe, Polperro and St Ives to name but a few. I can't imagine being made to feel more welcome - Bosinver is a very special place and we can't wait to go back. I can't recommend it highly enough. Rating 4.7 out of 5, Jo, Jan 2010.
